It Was Like Carriages
when you spoke it was like carriages
burdened with moonlight flying
over the broken roads
in my mindlike the birds
all stopped their singing
and flocked to stare at me
at onceit was like
caged animals
were reborn free
beneath a green tree
in autumnlike boats
that never knew a captain
set out
on their own accord
beneath a bleeding sky
that the moon
and stars
abandoned
