When I Was Part of a Sermon

The Preacher looked
down at me from the pulpit…

Claiming “I saw him
Earlier this morning, walking
with his head down…”

“Muttering to himself about
The lack of a belief in God.”

He then raised his finger,
Pointed at me and asked
“Why are you even here?”

I stood up, cleared
my throat and whispered…

“I don’t know.”

I excused myself.
