on the back roads.
You’re either good

at home, or lost,
or on your way
to Columbus.  How

often the danger comes
from not getting
where you’re headed.

Yesterday we licked all of the leaves
in the pile. 
I have some regrets about that.

Monroe Township, Ohio

You can smoke anything.
Well, you can’t smoke a bible.
That thin paper tears

& won’t catch long enough.
You’re better off eating your weed
in Monroe Township.
