Tom Taylor. American artist/author, b.1941 in Colorado.
An old maverick born to decent white farmers the same year the U.S. entered WWII, Taylor's raw poems of conflict, his enigmatic art and quirky tales of off the wall characters have been published internationally. "Romancing the Pain" (illustrated here) is a statement about the idiopathic pancreas issue that has been trying to off him since 1996. Much of his art and writing boldly confronts deeply personal issues of poor health and his diverse life experience.
