Gabachos

Five Latino men with luggage arrive on the train
One is on his cell phone the others stand waiting
Almost there they light up stretching and shuffling
Spain is yellow France blue Italy green Turkey red
Greece white Israel micaceous the UK pale blends
The US the color of money for most of the world
Growing leery of what we set out and are about 
Canada watches us as wildlife lives with highways
With opportunistic skepticism our default behavior
We’re good enough people even if slyly insecure
About whichever end of the rainbow we inhabit
