And you will not understand why America is as it is or has been 
Or may well be if know-nothing mule-headed jingoism takes it 
Rooms full of savvy Americans don’t know what a Zamboni is
Insist that facts are simply opinions and that we all have the right
Imperialism like astrology administered as a self-fulfilling system
Politicians wave absurdly to no one all over everywhere but then 
“When der fuehrer says we is de master race” things get dicey
